Commute voice journal
Say it on the way. Keep it when you arrive.
The thought that shows up on the train, or on the walk to the station, is usually gone by the time you can type. Yuho records it hands-free on iPhone and keeps the entry private.
The commute is when the thought shows up
A ride, or the walk at either end of it, is often the first quiet stretch of the day. Opening a notes app turns that into typing on a moving train.
Yuho is for the parts of the commute where your hands are already free: AirPods in, or the phone in a pocket or bag. If you are driving, keep your eyes on the road. This is not a reason to handle your phone behind the wheel.
Hands-free on iPhone
AirPods or a pocketed phone
Record with AirPods, the iPhone microphone, or another Bluetooth microphone while the phone stays put.
As long as the ride
The entry does not have to be a caption. Talk through the whole thought.
The route comes along
Yuho can keep the path of that recording with the audio, so the commute is part of the entry.
Still private at the other end
Arriving does not publish anything. The recording stays on the iPhone unless you share that one entry.
What people record on the way
The commute is a good place for the version of the day you have not edited yet: what you are walking into, what you are leaving, an idea that will not wait until a desk.
A transcript is optional afterward, if you want to read the entry as well as hear it.
After you arrive
-
The recording is already the entry
You do not have to type it up for it to count. Replay it from the timeline when you want it back.
-
Read it only if that helps
Optional transcription follows the audio while it plays. Skip it and the voice is still there.
-
Share one, keep the rest
Send a link when a specific recording is for someone else. The others stay on the phone.
Frequently asked questions
Can I record on the train?
Yes. AirPods or the phone in a pocket work while you ride, as long as you are comfortable speaking there.
What about driving?
Do not pick up your phone to record while driving. Yuho is for the walk, the platform, and the parts of the trip where your hands are free.
Is the commute entry private?
Yes. It stays on your iPhone. Sharing is a separate choice for a single entry.
